Purpose
What Community Hunger Day 2009 Is About
Central Dallas Ministries, now in its third decade of service, is a social justice organization fighting the root causes of poverty through an interlocking network of 16 programs organized into four areas; hunger, health, housing and hope. By providing food, medical care, legal assistance, housing and educational opportunities for adults and children, CDM gives meaningful life transformation to more than 30,000 neighbors in our community each year.
Over the years we have learned that in order to build genuine community, we need to meet the most critical needs of our neighbors. Basic food security is the doorway to that community renewal.
Today we are excited to launch Community Hunger Day 2009. This website allows participants to join together to raise awareness of and crucial resources for the fight against hunger!
Sign up today and create your personal fundraising page then invite your friends and family to join you in raising awareness for more comprehensive food security and money that will truly make a difference in the life of a family.
Thank you for helping Central Dallas Ministries reach our goal of over $1,000,000 raised in the fight against hunger!
